Fairy Tales - Our Castle Easter Basket

We are finishing up our Fairy Tale Unit this week. I wanted to make Easter Baskets that were Fairy Tale related.  I found a castle Easter basket on pinterest and modified it.

I cut the bottom off a soda bottle and then the kids covered it with tin foil.  They also wrapped 2 toilet paper rolls in foil.  I made the handles by covering a strip cut from the bottle with colored duck tape and then attached them to the basket with brads.  I had copied the template on colored paper. The kids cut out the pieces and then decorated them.  I used hot glue to put the castles together.

I made a dragon finger puppet for each child using the pattern from Cheryl's blog Crack of Dawn Crafts.
